Check Payouts and Set Your Payout Account
Overview
Section titled “Overview”Sales from members’ credit card charges and card-funded Gift purchases are first collected by Pocket Change Inc., the provider of Pokepay. On each closing date, the sales are totaled, and the amount after deducting the prescribed processing fees and consumption tax on those fees is transferred to your bank account.
The standard processing fee is 2.9% of sales, plus consumption tax. The rate may vary depending on your contract.
To receive these sales, you need to set a Payout account.
From Menu → Payouts in the app, you can:
- Check pending sales (sales that have not yet been finalized as a scheduled Payout)
- Check scheduled Payouts and history
- Set your Payout account
ℹ️ Sales from cash charges are not subject to Payouts because cash is received directly at the store’s register. They are not displayed on the Payouts screen.
ℹ️ Members’ credit card statements show an e-money charge under the name “Pocket-change Inc” rather than the name of your e-money.
ℹ️ If you use the legacy Stripe integration, Payouts does not appear in Menu. Check your sales and Payouts in the Stripe Dashboard. See Credit Card Charge Settings for the Legacy Stripe Integration for details.
Payout Schedule
Section titled “Payout Schedule”The closing dates are the 15th and the last day of each month.
- Sales from the 1st to the 15th: paid out on the last day of the same month
- Sales from the 16th to the last day: paid out on the 15th of the following month
If the Payout date falls on a weekend or national holiday, it is scheduled for the previous business day. Check the Settlement Report for the scheduled Payout date.
When the closing process is complete, a URL to view the Settlement Report, which shows the scheduled Payout amount and its breakdown (total sales, fees, etc.), is sent by email to staff with permission to view Payout information, such as the owner. Viewing the Settlement Report requires authentication in the Shop App.
ℹ️ Amounts shown under Payout Schedule and History are the actual transfer amounts after fees and consumption tax on those fees are deducted. Check the Settlement Report for total sales and the fee breakdown.
Reading the Payouts Screen
Section titled “Reading the Payouts Screen”On the Dashboard tab of Menu → Payouts, you can check the status of your sales and Payouts.
- Pending Payouts: the total sales not yet finalized as a scheduled Payout. This is the amount before fees are deducted.
- Payout Schedule and History: a list of Payouts for each closing period. You can check the status (“Scheduled” or “Transfer Completed”), the amount, and the Payout account.
Tap an item in the list to see details such as the aggregation period, Payout date, and Payout ID.
Set Your Payout Account

- Tap the edit button on “Payout Account”
- Follow the instructions to select your financial institution and branch, and enter your account information
You can search for a financial institution by name or 4-digit financial institution code, and for a branch by name or 3-digit branch code.
Please note the following when entering your account information:

- While no Payout account is set, Payouts will not be made. Once you set an account, your accumulated sales will be paid out together at a subsequent closing.
- If the account information is incorrect, the Payout may be put on hold. If you have any concerns, such as not being able to confirm a Payout even though your account information should be correct, please contact support.
- Card payment transactions whose Payout has been finalized by the closing process can no longer be canceled.
