Overview
Section titled “Overview”To protect member rights, a member can be deactivated only when specific conditions are met.
This applies to member accounts with no remaining balance and no usage for at least three months.
Members can restore their own accounts for a certain period.
For how to deactivate a member, see this page.
Reason
The member list is an important point of contact with customers that can lead to future sales. Even if a member is not using the service now, campaign announcements and similar communication may encourage them to visit again. For that reason, only members with no balance and no usage are eligible.
Member self-restoration protects member rights in cases such as when a member who still intended to use the service was deactivated.
If a member asks to delete their account
Members can complete the account deletion procedure themselves.
