Allow the App to Open Directly in a Browser
Overview
Section titled “Overview”You can configure the e-money app so members can open it directly in a browser without adding it to the home screen.
This is useful when you want members to open the app from:
- your company’s app
- LINE
- your website or other web service
Configure the Setting
Section titled “Configure the Setting”- Tap Share on Home.
- Tap Publish settings.
- Turn on Enable usage without adding to the home screen and tap Save.
- Tap Copy Link.
- Use this link for LINE Official Account rich menus, Instagram, other social media, or websites.
When Enable usage without adding to the home screen is on, push notifications do not work in iOS web browsers.
This is an Apple limitation. To receive push notifications, members need to install the app by adding it to the home screen.
Browser usage and home screen app usage have separate login sessions. Members may need to log in separately.
If members open the app link from a LINE Official Account rich menu, Android may not be able to open the QR camera because of restrictions in the LINE in-app browser. If you guide members to a feature that uses the QR camera, add ?openExternalBrowser=1 to the end of the link. The app opens in an external browser, and the QR camera can be used on Android.
