Enable the Gift Feature

The Gift feature lets members purchase balance as gifts and send it to other people, including people who are not yet members.

When the Gift feature is enabled, a gift purchase button appears on the member app Home screen. Members can purchase gifts by credit card, then send the gift by sharing a URL or code. Shops can also issue gifts from Cashier Mode in the Creator App.

  • Even if the feature is turned off, gift cards that have already been issued remain valid until their expiration date.
  • Gifts can also be issued from Cashier Mode.
  • You can check issued gifts from the Gift screen.
  • Changing gift settings requires permission to edit e-money settings.
  1. Tap Menu in the navigation bar.
  2. Tap Gift in the features section.
  3. Tap Enable Gift Feature.

  4. Change each item on the Gift Settings screen.
  • Member Gift Feature
    • Turns the member gift feature on or off.
    • Turning it off disables the member gift feature.
  • Preset Purchasable Gift Amounts
    • Sets the preset amounts members can choose when purchasing gifts.
    • Add amounts from Add Preset Amounts.
    • Drag amounts to change their order.
    • Remove amounts from each amount row.
  • Custom Amount Gift Purchase
    • Allows members to purchase gifts at any custom amount.
    • If this is enabled, you can set the minimum gift amount.
  • Availability Scope
    • When Restrict gift usage to members only is off, issued gifts can be used directly without member registration.
    • When it is on, only registered members can receive and use issued gifts.

If Credit Card Charge is off, members can purchase gifts only through in-person transactions.

  1. Tap Menu in the navigation bar.
  2. Tap Gift in the features section.
  3. The issued gift list is displayed.
  4. Tap a gift to check its details.

The list and details can show:

  • code, with part of the code masked
  • balance and issued amount
  • member who issued the gift
  • issued date
  • password status
    • If a password is set, you can reset it.
    • The password is set by the member. Reset it only when the member requests it.
  1. Tap Gift in the Cashier Mode menu.
  2. Enter the gift amount on the keypad.
  3. Tap Continue.
  4. On the confirmation screen, confirm that you have received the payment.
  5. Tap Continue.
  6. After the gift is issued, the code and URL are displayed.
    • Tap Share to share the URL.
    • Tap Copy URL to copy the URL.
  7. Tap Close.

Always receive compensation before issuing a gift. Do not issue gift balance for free.

The issued gift URL can be displayed again from Transaction History.

Members purchase gifts in three steps.

  1. Select the amount
    • Choose from preset gift amounts.
    • If custom amount input is enabled, enter any amount.
  2. Confirm and pay
    • Confirm the gift amount and sender name.
    • Optionally enter a message or password.
    • Select a payment method and confirm the purchase.
    • 3D Secure authentication may be required for credit card payments.
  3. Complete and share
    • After purchase, the gift code and URL are displayed.
    • Share the URL or code with the recipient.

Members can purchase gifts with:

  • credit card
  • Apple Pay
  • Google Pay

Gift purchase is also available at shops through Cashier Mode.
