Deactivate a Member Account
## Overview
This feature lets the issuer process a member's account deactivation on behalf of the member app.
Use it for members who have not used the service for a while or appear to have used it only temporarily, to help reduce management work.
Members can restore their accounts within a certain period. All member information is deleted after that period.
ℹ️ **Important Notes**
- **We recommend contacting the member in advance.** Once a member is deactivated, they can no longer check past transaction history or messages. Contact them first, and use this only if they do not respond.
- **This can be used only when the member has no remaining balance and has not used the service for more than three months.** This restriction protects member rights.
- **The issuer is responsible for using this feature.** Pocket Change, Inc., the provider of Pokepay, assumes no responsibility for the use of this feature.
- **Only owners or staff with the necessary permissions can use this feature.**
## Deactivate a Member Account
Follow these steps to deactivate a member account.
1. Tap "Menu" in the navigation bar.
2. Tap "Admin".
3. Tap "Advanced Features".
4. Tap "Deactivate Member Account".
5. Review the feature description and notes, then tap "Continue".
6. Select the member to deactivate.
7. Tap "Deactivate Account".
8. Review the confirmation dialog and execute the action.

- An email notification is sent to the deactivated member.

- After that period, all member information is permanently deleted.
