Overview

This page explains terms used in Pokepay.

Term	Meaning
Original e-money	An e-money service created by an Issuer. Members can hold balance and make transactions in the dedicated member app.
Charged Balance	Paid balance held by a Member. Members can charge it using methods configured by the Issuer, such as cash or credit card. Always receive consideration when charging this balance.
Points	Free balance held by a Member. Issuers can provide Points to members for sales promotion and similar purposes. Do not receive consideration when granting Points.
Member	A person registered to the issued original e-money.
Shop	A shop where the original e-money is used.
Gift	A feature that lets Members purchase balance for gifting.
Balance Remittance	A feature that lets Members transfer already charged balance to another Member.
Transaction	A Payment, Charge, or other action that uses balance.
Message	A messaging feature that can send payment requests, Point Rewards, and other actions.
Cashier Mode	A feature for making shop-counter transactions by scanning a Member’s QR code.
Remote Transaction	A feature for transactions made remotely, such as optional Credit Card Charge and Manual Transactions.
News	A feature for sending announcements to all Members at once.
Export	A feature for exporting Transactions and Member lists in CSV or XLSX format.
Credit Balance	Balance received when you refer Pokepay to a business owner you know.
